Chandana Painting

I consider painting; at times meditative with an art therapy and at other times a mode of communication, which takes a message to the society. Art mostly for me is an enlightening and expansive hobby.

It is time you too get engaged in this breathtaking subject. You will be able to look at the world in a different stance. Besides, it will unwind your mind.

Chandana Bandara Samarakoon, BA

Bachelor of Arts, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka (2000).

Diploma in Aesthetic Studies, Arts and Sculpture Department, Aesthetic Teachers' Training College, Pilimatalawa, Sri Lanka (2000-2001). Trained in Sculpturing and Painting.

Exhibitions by Artist Chandana

The Chief Guest was Dr. Jacques Soulie, Director, Alliance Française French Cultural and Education Centre, Kandy.First solo art exhibition titled "Mini Naked Eye". Hundreds of water colour miniature paintings were on display.

The Chief Guest was Ms Pelle Sylviyane seen lighting the oil lamp at the opening ceremony.Second solo art exhibition titled "Visiting Sri Lanka 2004". A collection of oil and water colour paintings were on display.
